POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION

21st Century Skills

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)

I had to do a lot of problem solving over the course of the session. When we initially started we wanted to have voice lines in the game that would reflect a comical tone. Through this I had to figure out the best way to record it and which effects would be best to add so that it would give me the results I wanted. We ended up switching up after the first SCRUM and ditching the idea of voice lines and focusing primarily on music. Since we wanted jazz music for our game, I realized that I would have to figure out how to program articulation into the MIDI notes. Once I figured that out everything else was pretty smooth.

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

I communicated mostly with Jacob and Azure who gave me feedback on the music throughout the session.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

I used Garageband to record everything.

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

This session was helpful because I learned a lot more about Garageband as a software, and I also learned how to record live instruments which is useful if I decide to go into audio engineering.

Reactions to the Final Version

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

Overall I am happy with the final versions of all the music. I had the time to really mix it well so that it sounds pretty coherent.
