By Jan. 12, as part of team 4 as Sound Designer, I will write an epic battle soundtrack for our film, by following Phantasia Music’s Tutorial for my Session 3.

John Williams is the composer for Star Wars and Indiana Jones, among other works. I really like his music, specifically Duel of the Fates and want to try to imitate the vibe of it in our film.

POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
We used a lot of problem solving with technical issues, specifically with lightsabers not working. We got all but one of four lightsabers working again though, with Zayvier doing most of the thinking.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
I communicated a lot with the team but mostly with Zayvier since we worked closely on the choreography and editing.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
I used Davinci Resolve to add in the lightsaber sound effects.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
This was helpful for me because I want to work in the film industry as a composer and sound designer and I got practice in sound effects and also with having a longer more thought-out film since we are continuing work on it into the next session.
Reactions to the Final Version
The expert really liked the choreography and was very impressed with it. He also said that the sound design of the lightsabers flowed well.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
Overall, considering it is a demo, I am pretty happy with where it is at. I think the editing and the sound really pulled through and when we improve upon what we already have, I think that the film will turn out really good.
