Intention (SMART Goal)

By Oct. 12, as part of team # as bassist, I will have evidence of learning “The Pot” by Tool by following this UG Tutorial for Session 1.

PRE-PRODUCTION – INQUIRY

Leader(s) in the Field / Exemplary Work(s)

Marcus talks a lot about the power of silence in songs. He references people such as Roberta Flack and Miles Davis as people that inspired him about that. He also says stuff about making everything fit together like a story. He says that when there are lots of solos in a song he likes to do something different from the rest so that the audience gets contrast in the song. When he practices he improvises something and finds something that interests him with the techniques he wants to practice and makes a routine out of that.

We all communicated a lot to write chord song and get it all really tight so that we can play it for our show on the 1st.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

We used Garageband

Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)

I improved my communication and my music writing skills.

Reactions to the Final Version

Keith really liked the harmony solo section

April said that the bass cut through the mix too much.

Self-Evaluation of Final Version

I am really happy with the overall structure of the song. We need to mix it better and rerecord some stuff though because the mix is not all that good.
